Year in school
What is your favourite sport and why do you love that sport?
Gymnastics is my favourite sport because it makes me so happy and I just love being upside down.
How often do you train and what does a training session involve?
I am a self-trained gymnast, I do strength training and exercises every night and train myself and flip all weekend.
What is the hardest part of doing your chosen sport?
There are a lot of injuries involved in doing gymnastics.
Describe any challenges you’ve had to overcome in order to do your sport:
I’ve had to overcome the fear of going backwards/ the fear of flipping and I’ve also faced a lot of joint and muscle pain whilst doing skills because I need to strengthen.
Do you have any routines/rituals you do before a big competition?
I don’t compete but before I do gymnastics I always stretch and warm up to decrease injuries.
Do you have any goals you are training to achieve?
My main goal in gymnastics is to keep improving/ learning new skills and perfecting all my skills.
Who inspires you?
Well, Olympians like Simone Biles and Aly Raisman inspire me but so do my followers on my Instagram accounts and other tumbling accounts on Instagram because everyone is so talented!
What do you want to be when you’re older?
Gymnastics-wise, I want to be better and stronger, but career-wise, I’m not sure. I know that I want to go to university and my university has to have a gymnasium and I’m bringing all my gymnastics equipment with me hehe.
